Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in water treatment plant operations.
• Valid Grade II or higher Water Treatment Operator Certification from a recognized regulatory body.
• Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting water treatment technologies, including filtration, disinfection, and chemical feed systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of advanced water treatment processes, ensuring compliance with stringent quality standards and regulatory mandates.
• Lead and mentor junior technicians, providing expert guidance on operational procedures, troubleshooting complex issues, and safety protocols.
• Perform advanced diagnostics and calibration of sophisticated treatment equipment, utilizing SCADA systems and analytical instruments to optimize performance.
• Manage chemical inventory and dosing systems, accurately calculating and applying treatment chemicals to achieve optimal water quality and cost-efficiency.
• Lead water treatment operations, testing, and plant maintenance.
