Job summary

Omrania by Egis in Riyadh seeks an experienced Urban Planner to support masterplanning and urban design across scales. You will work with senior staff to develop land-use plans, density studies, and public realm concepts for large-scale developments in Saudi Arabia.

The role requires 5–10 years of related experience, strong CAD/Revit/GIS skills, and collaboration with architects, engineers, and authorities. Fluent English and knowledge of local regulations are important.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, Architecture, or related field.
• 5–10 years of progressive experience in urban planning for large-scale projects.
• Strong urban design and conceptual design skills.
• Proficiency in CAD and Adobe; familiarity with Revit and GIS preferred.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication.
• Experience collaborating with architects, engineers, and authorities.
• Knowledge of Saudi Arabia’s urban planning regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support masterplanning and urban design projects under senior guidance.
• Develop plot parcels, land use plans, and development parameters.
• Conduct site analyses, demographic studies, and spatial assessments.
• Create basic 3D massing models and density studies.
• Prepare diagrams, layouts, and illustrative masterplan materials.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including architects and engineers.
• Assist in technical reports and client/authority submissions.
• Incorporate sustainability and mobility concepts into planning.
• Prepare development control regulations and planning documents.
• Participate in workshops and design reviews.
• Stay informed on local regulations and emerging practices.
