Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Senior Project Engineer in its Grid Technologies Substations Project Management team. You will lead end-to-end substation projects for key clients across the UK and Ireland, delivering on time and within budget while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will mentor a team of professionals, apply formal project management methodologies, and manage governance, risk, and change control to ensure project success and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Electrical/Mechanical) preferred.
• Significant experience in project management within the energy, power transmission, or substation sectors.
• Proven leadership experience supervising professional-level employees.
• Strong capability applying formal project management methodologies and governance frameworks.
• Demonstrated commercial awareness including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Well-developed stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills across interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project professionals, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Oversee end-to-end execution of substation projects, ensuring quality and safety standards.
• Implement and manage project governance frameworks, including risk management and change control.
