Job summary

Penspen Ltd in Saudi Arabia seeks a Lead Civil/Structural Engineer (Onshore/Offshore) based in-country. The role sits within Core Engineering or PMS teams, overseeing engineer/senior civil personnel and delegating activities to support staff.

Qualifications

• 14+ years in civil engineering related to structures for major offshore oil and gas projects.
• PMC experience in a similar role for several years is preferable.
• Knowledge of Saudi Aramco desktop standards and procedures is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage onshore/offshore civil/structural engineering activities.
• Oversee design basis such as site grading, drainage, foundations, pipe racks and main equipment layouts.
• Coordinate with PM and project teams; delegate tasks to junior engineers.
• Ensure compliance with project specs and client standards, including Saudi Aramco practices.

Job description

We are looking for aLead Civil/Structural Engineer(Onshore/Offshore), the position is to be based in Saudi Arabia.

The Lead Civil Structural Engineer(Onshore/Offshore)may operate within the Core Engineering Team or PMS project team environment. He may have Engineer/Senior grade onshore/offshore civil personnel under his responsibility and will be tasked with their control and management and the delegation of activities to such support personnel.

Provide support and confirm that Design basis and main civil requirements such as Site grading/ Drain systems, Main equipment and Tank foundations and pipe racks are followed. Possess strong experience in both structural steel and concrete. Specific knowledge in Dynamic foundation is required.

Knowledge / Experience (Skills):

• At least Twelve (14) years of experience; Ten (10) years of them within the field of Civil Engineering related to structures for major Oil and Gas/Petrochemical Offshore projects.
• PMC experience at similar role for at least several years is preferable.
• Knowledge of Saudi Aramco Desktop Standard and procedures/practices is beneficial.
• Previous exposure to construction and commissioning phases is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Computer literate with all MS Packages, particularly Word and Excel proficient.

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
