Job summary

Atkins Realis Group seeks a senior structural engineer to supervise erection and installation of steel structures at metro sites. You will ensure work follows approved drawings, specifications and codes, coordinating with contractors and design teams on-site.

You will review shop drawings and method statements, monitor progress, and document inspections and quality records while maintaining strong communication across teams and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil or structural engineering.
• 15+ years of experience in building projects.
• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication, welding, bolting and erection techniques.
• Familiarity with structural drawings, connection detailing and construction sequencing.
• Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD; knowledge of BIM tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise erection and installation of steel structures per drawings and codes.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants and internal teams on-site.

Supervise the erection and installation of steel structures for OG metro stations including platforms concourses foot overbridges and roofing systems Ensure that all structural works are executed as per approved drawings specifications and relevant codes IS IRC Eurocode etc Coordinate with contractors consultants and internal teams to resolve technical issues on-site Monitor construction progress quality control and adherence to safety protocols Conduct regular site inspections and prepare detailed reports on structural works including non-conformities and corrective actions Review and verify shop drawings method statements and material submittals related to steel structures Liaise with design teams to address site-related design modifications or clarifications Ensure proper documentation of inspections approvals and quality records
