Job summary

Job Purpose
  • Lead, organize, and coordinate technical issues and provide technical assistance and maintenance support for maintenance work activities and carry out quality and safety checks to lead repair and maintenance work on all related section equipment and fault finding to ensure that all maintenance activities have been accomplished in a safe, effective manner and to improve quality, availability and maintainability of the equipment in all allocated cluster sites.
  • Suggest methods to improve and standardize the existing work practices, generate Standard Maintenance Procedures and checklists for the equipment in assigned working area, investigate and propose modifications on related equipment if required to improve performance and reliability of the equipment. And develop maintenance personnel in terms of skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor workshop activities and coach employees to create a winning environment toward achieving CWS goals and objectives with full compliance to M-SHEMS & SWI, in order to achieve the best Quartile in EHSS, reliability and productivity.
Key Accountabilities
EHSS Compliance
  • Comply with all EHSS regulations.
  • Having knowledge of MSHEMS and being familiar with specific responsibilities related to position and assurance of full compliance.
  • Implementation of EHSS performance and awareness during day-to-day activities.
People and Organization
  • Develop the maintenance team personnel in terms of skills and knowledge in coordination with workshop maintenance supervisors and superintendent.
  • Build self-studying ability and learning capability in all subjects pertaining to the work.
Production, Reliability & Integrity
  • Support CWS supervisors and technicians in troubleshooting failures and breakdowns and carry out pre-inspection.
  • Check and monitor to ensure that the repair and maintenance work is performed as per the applicable SWI, manual and related instructions considering optimum safety and quality to improve reliability of the equipment.
  • Perform troubleshooting and fault finding on equipment and suggest corrective measures to eliminate the problems.
  • Develop and review safe work instructions and checklists.
  • Review maintenance scope of work and procedures for non-routine activities.
  • Ensure that the required documents such as manuals, procedures, reports or checklists for the section are available and up to date. Review them from time to time and develop database and files for the section.
  • Coordinate with respective maintenance workshop supervisors, planners, technicians, for related technical documentation, spare parts availability for ongoing maintenance repair.
  • Coordinate with the technical departments for related documentation and for preparing job scope for major repair if required.
  • Ensure that the special tools required for the specific job activities are available, and they are maintained and preserved in a safe manner.
Problem solving/Decision making
  • Identify failure causes of the equipment.
  • Identify most suitable actions to be undertaken to resolve the problem considering plant downtime, equipment criticality, materials availability, special tools requirement and others.
  • Take immediate action to complete the job with minimum affiliates production interruption.
  • Supervise critical work and take immediate action by informing the manager in case of variations in drawings and specifications.
  • Suggest complex technical solutions, cost-saving methodologies and safe practices to protect people, property and environment.
  • Technical expert in the field of specialty with the capability of analyzing and identifying deficiencies and working independently or with others to provide sound recommendations and using technical reporting as means of demonstrating such deficiencies and recommendations.
  • Support and respond to inquiries in the area of specialty.
  • Deliver knowledge effectively.
  • Assess and improve existing practices and develop management systems to sustain best practices.
