Job summary

CoorB in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, seeks an experienced Solutions Architect to lead end-to-end technical design of multi-service platforms in financial services. You will translate business and regulatory needs into scalable architectures and work with clients, engineering teams, and security stakeholders to define standards and guide implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, incl. at least 3 years in a Solution Architect or similar role.
• Strong software engineering background with ability to review code and challenge designs.
• Expertise in distributed systems, microservices, service boundaries, API design and versioning, and event-driven architecture.
• Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot or equivalent enterprise backend technology.
• Solid understanding of data architecture, relational data modelling, persistence strategies, transactional integrity, and distributed consistency.
• Knowledge of security architecture (IAM, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, encryption, secrets management).
• Experience with cloud-native/containerized environments (Kubernetes/OpenShift) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to produce clear architecture documentation and diagrams for engineering implementation.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and technical decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end solution architecture across applications, data, integrations, security, and deployment.
• Translate business and regulatory requirements into architectural designs and technical decisions.
• Develop and maintain architecture documentation, including vision, high-level designs, integration specs, and architecture decisions.
• Define service boundaries, API contracts, data ownership, and event-driven communication patterns.
• Design integrations with external/third-party systems while maintaining clear boundaries.
• Establish non-functional requirements covering scalability, availability, performance, resilience, and observability.
• Incorporate security and compliance needs into solution architecture with security/risk teams.
• Lead architecture/design reviews, guide engineering leads, and ensure implementation aligns with designs.
• Assess technologies and vendors, providing evidence-based recommendations and documenting trade-offs.
• Identify/manage architectural risks, assumptions, dependencies, and decisions.
• Support estimation, scoping, and delivery planning with product/delivery teams.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
