Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Slitter Operator.
• Experience in the Flexible Packaging industry.
• Experience handling plastic films, paper, and jumbo rolls.
• Good knowledge of slitting machine operations, tension control, and blade settings.
• Ability to identify quality defects and troubleshoot basic machine issues.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain slitting machines for production runs.
• Handle jumbo rolls of plastic film/paper and ensure accurate alignment.
• Adjust tension, blade position, and machine parameters as per job specifications.
• Monitor production to ensure precise slitting and minimize material wastage.
• Inspect finished rolls for width, edge alignment, slitting accuracy, and surface defects.
• Conduct pre-operation machine inspections and safety checks.
• Report machine breakdowns, maintenance requirements, and quality issues.
• Maintain production records, downtime reports, and material usage logs.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and cleanliness of the machine and work area.
• Follow company safety procedures, SOPs, and quality standards.
