Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and managing the organization’s safety and security strategy and policies to ensure high performance.
  • Conduct training on site for PMCs and contractors to facilitate development and implementation of security management plans.
  • Serve as an advisor to the Client regarding security matters.
  • Contribute to development of security priorities ensuring Development safety operations and compliance considerations are built into project plans and budgets.
  • Draft and develop site security plans within KBR policies and procedures, operation scope, regulatory or Client's requirements.
  • Integrate, maintain, and utilize KBR travel management requirements & systems to track the location and contact information for employees in high security risks.
  • Advise and assist the Client to manage day to day security management duties to include all aspects of physical security, special travel, escorts, incident response, and reporting and access control.
  • Serve as part of coordinator for emergency/employees incidents involving employees and assets, inform senior management and recommend response actions.
  • Provide technical security advice in consultation with senior management on all security matters.
  • Conduct security drills and exercises in coordination with the Client and PMCs in accordance with global security standards.

Job Purpose

KBR's is looking for a Senior Security Manager for a Project Management Office (PMO) on a high-profile infrastructure development in Riyadh, KSA. The Senior Security Manager supports the management and implementation of the Client's security policies at the program and project levels. This position will provide hands-on support to the Client, numerous Project Management Consultants (PMCs), and contractors in assessing and managing the security situation related to existing and upcoming projects scope and is responsible for providing security coordination for members of the organization's Senior Management Team in response to incidents, emergencies, and crises on behalf of the organization. KBR is seeking an experienced Senior Security Manager who is able to lead by example, model KBRs culture and values, and foster an environment of teamwork, accountability, creativity, and innovation. The Senior Security Manager will assist the Client to produce, implement, and maintain updated safety and security SOPs ensuring compliance to the organization's safety and security standards.

Primary Duties / Scope of Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and managing the organization’s safety and security strategy and policies to ensure high performance.
  • Conduct training on site for PMCs and contractors to facilitate development and implementation of security management plans.
  • Serve as an advisor to the Client regarding security matters.

Technical Support
  • Conduct threat and risk assessments of project specific and Development risk environment, events, and other designated venues associated with the Development.
  • Draft and develop site security plans within KBR policies and procedures, operation scope, regulatory or Client's requirements.
  • Integrate, maintain, and utilize KBR travel management requirements & systems to track the location and contact information for employees in the cases of high security risks.

Experience & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, security administration or related field or international equivalent.
  • 10 years of security experience in corporate security, law enforcement or military.
  • Proven ability with international projects working in high-risk environments and contexts and operating in unsecured environments.
  • Substantial and documented, prior experience as a trainer and training skills - the ability to develop, implement, facilitate, and impart learning to a wide range of audiences.
  • High level of experience, ready to learn developing security related technical tools guidelines and systems as well as able to work under minimal supervision.
  • Understanding of principles and code of conduct associated with a specific sector and/or sub-sector of work such as, fabrication, development, etc. linked to other commercial construction contexts.
  • Effective and clear communicator, ability to collaborate across teams and geographies.
  • Skilled in interdisciplinary problem solving.
  • Ability to gain a precise understanding of the various local, regional, country, and international policies, operational positions, and interactions, providing clear dynamic briefings and analysis of given and unfolding security and political situations when they occur.
  • Strong assessment, evaluation, analysis, and strategic planning and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and work under stressful conditions.
  • Understanding of the Saudi Arabian political, contextual, and ethical issues in assigned areas.
  • Previous experience interacting with local government agencies, and other foreign agencies to implement security strategies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in multiple geographic locations.
  • Prior military or law enforcement work experience or relevant experience in the technical area.
  • ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation.
  • Ability to develop security strategies for critical infrastructure projects internationally.
