Job summary

Jones Engineering Group is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the delivery team on projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, based in Dammam. You will provide commercial support to the construction team, manage subcontractor accounts, and monitor cash flow across multiple projects.

The role requires a minimum of 6 years post-qualification experience, a relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics, and strong IT and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Relevant third level qualification essential in Quantity Surveying/ Construction Economics.
  • Minimum 6+ years' experience post qualification essential.
  • Ability to work both individually and as part of a multi-functional team.
  • Excellent IT Skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to Construction Team on all Quantity Surveying functions.
  • Identify commercial risks and report them to management.
  • Prepare monthly progress applications with accurate remeasure, variations, day-works or claims.
  • Procurement support in conjunction with the Procurement Department.
  • Manage subcontractor accounts through awards, valuations, variations and final accounts.
  • Forecast turnover and cash flow for projects.
  • Ensure accurate reporting and commercial management of projects.
  • Review correspondence from Employers/Design Team/Subcontractors to identify contractual items and respond.
  • Ensure adherence to Contractual Requirements and monitor compliance.
  • Other duties as required.

Job Description

Jones Engineering require a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the delivery team on our projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

To provide support to Construction Team on all Quantity Surveying functions including, but not limited to the following:

  • Ensure compliance with contract obligations and provide advice and monitoring of same to construction team
  • Ability to identify potential commercial risks and ensure prompt reporting of same to management
  • Compile monthly progress applications and ensure they are inclusive of accurate remeasure, site variations, day-works or claims
  • Procurement - operational procurement activity and contract support, in conjunction with the Procurement Department
  • Manage subcontractor accounts from initial award to interim valuation, variations and final account
  • Managing and forecasting of turnover and cash flow of the projects
  • Reviewing and commercial management of all projects, to ensure accurate and reliable reporting
  • Identify, Analyse and report on trends within the Business & Projects
  • Review all incoming correspondence from Employers, Design Team and /or subcontractors, to identify contractually critical items and to initiate replies
  • To ensure Construction Team is adhering to all Contractual Requirements and providing advice and monitoring of same
  • All other duties associated with this role
Skills And Requirements
  • Relevant third level qualification essential in Quantity Surveying/ Construction Economics
  • Previous Data Centre experience preferable but not essential
  • Minimum 6+ years' experience post qualification essential
  • Ability to work both individually and as part of a multi-functional team
  • Excellent IT Skills
  • Demonstrates excellent presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills
