Job summary

Mott MacDonald in Saudi Arabia seeks a Senior Principal MEP to lead multidisciplinary MEP delivery on major building projects, coordinating with clients, architects, contractors and authorities to ensure compliant, high‑quality outcomes.

You will provide technical leadership, governance and guidance on BIM, digital engineering and sustainability while mentoring MEP teams and supporting bids and business development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical, electrical, building services or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Significant experience delivering multidisciplinary MEP solutions for complex buildings or infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of building services engineering and multidisciplinary interfaces.
• Experience leading engineering teams and coordinating multiple disciplines and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Saudi Arabian authority requirements and approval processes.
• Experience with BIM and digital engineering tools and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary MEP delivery across major projects.
• Provide technical leadership and governance to meet client requirements and codes.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, civil and specialist teams.
• Review engineering deliverables including calculations, specifications, reports, drawings and BIM models.
• Lead technical assurance, design reviews, risk management and value engineering.
• Oversee project performance across quality, programme, resources and budget.
• Build client relationships and lead technical meetings and workshops.
• Champion sustainable design, BIM and data-led delivery.
• Mentor and develop MEP teams and support knowledge sharing.
• Support bids, fee proposals and business development opportunities.
