Job summary

TAWANTECH in Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to design and evolve scalable, secure platform architectures. You will lead infra-as-code initiatives, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native tooling, focusing on automation and reliability.

The role requires 8+ years in Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or cloud infra, with hands-on Kubernetes and AWS Cloud in production, Terraform, monitoring, and security/compliance awareness (PCI-DSS).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and AWS Cloud in production environments.
• Strong expertise with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD automation.
• Solid knowledge of Linux, networking, security, and cloud architecture.
• Proven track record designing highly available, scalable, resilient platforms.
• Experience in monitoring, observability, incident management, and production troubleshooting.
• Experience in Banking, FinTech, or Payment environments is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of PCI-DSS and security/compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable platform architecture and engineering solutions.
• Define platform engineering standards, patterns, and technical practices.
• Develop and enhance infrastructure automation and Infrastructure-as-Code capabilities.
• Design and optimize CI/CD platforms, deployment pipelines, and developer tooling.
• Drive containerization, orchestration, cloud, and platform automation practices.
• Ensure platform security, resilience, availability, scalability, and performance.
• Lead technical resolution of complex platform and infrastructure issues.
• Develop self-service platform capabilities that improve developer productivity.
• Evaluate platform technologies and recommend improvements and modernization opportunities.
• Provide advanced technical guidance and mentorship to engineers.
• Collaborate with architecture, cybersecurity, cloud, SRE, and application engineering teams.
