Job summary

A leading maritime organization in Saudi Arabia is looking for a Senior Planning Engineer to oversee planning and scheduling for offshore projects. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Engineering Degree, at least 9 years of experience in project planning within a shipyard, and proficiency in planning software like Primavera P6. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for liaising with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring compliance with project timelines and budgets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9 – 12 years of experience in project planning within a shipyard.
• Proven track record of planning and executing CRPO and Offshore Jacket projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning and scheduling activities for new build offshore projects.
• Prepare and update project schedules from bidding stage to close-out stage.
• Prepare regular project performance reports and support schedule progress.
• Liaise with Project Management Team on relevant planning issues.
• Report any deviations on project schedules or budgets and prepare recovery plans.

Skills

Proficiency in project planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project)

Strong knowledge of planning, scheduling, and control processes

Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Education
