Job summary

Absal Paul Contracting is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to lead scheduling for interior fit-out projects in Saudi Arabia. You will develop and manage detailed Primavera P6 schedules, create WBS structures, monitor progress, and perform critical path and delay analyses to support on-time delivery.

The role requires 5–7 years (8+ for Senior) in construction planning, with proficiency in Primavera P6 and Power BI, strong scheduling logic, and successful experience delivering projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline.
• Senior Planning Engineer: requires 8+ years of construction planning experience, with a strong preference for interior fit-out projects.
• Planning Engineer: requires 5–7 years of construction planning experience, with a strong preference for interior fit-out projects.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Power BI.
• Strong understanding of scheduling logic, project controls, and delay analysis.
• Experience in interior fit-out projects preferred.
• Knowledge of EOT claims, recovery planning, and project reporting.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience delivering projects from commencement through final handover.
• Prior experience in Saudi Arabia is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Create Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and activity networks.
• Monitor project progress and analyze schedule performance.
• Perform critical path and near-critical path analysis.
• Conduct delay analysis and support Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
• Prepare recovery plans and mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate procurement, design and construction activities.
• Generate project reports, dashboards and progress updates.
• Identify schedule risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Support stakeholder meetings and communicate programme impacts effectively.
