AtkinsRéalis invites applications for a Senior Planning Engineer to lead planning, scheduling and project controls on large-scale mixed-use, residential, commercial and hospitality developments in Saudi Arabia. The role is tailored for a Saudi national, focusing on developing and managing project schedules, tracking progress and providing planning support to ensure milestone delivery.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.
• Primavera P6 capability/certification preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Planning and Controls.
• Baseline programme review, progress monitoring, look-ahead schedules, delay analysis, EOT support, progress dashboards and reporting.

Responsabilidades

• Review and assess contractors' baseline schedules for compliance with contract requirements, milestones and sequencing.
• Monitor progress against approved baselines and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare short-term and long-term look-ahead schedules for execution and resource planning.
• Analyze schedule risks, critical paths, constraints, and potential impacts.
• Conduct delay analyses and support EOT assessments and claims.
• Review contractor progress reports, recovery plans and revised schedules.
• Develop dashboards, KPI reports, earned value metrics and schedule performance analyses.
• Coordinate with engineers, managers, contractors and client representatives to collect progress data.

We are looking for a Senior Planning Engineer with a strong background in project planning, scheduling, and project controls for large-scale construction developments, including mixed-use, residential, commercial, hospitality, recreational projects.

We are looking for a Saudi National candidate who will be responsible for developing and managing project schedules, monitoring progress, conducting delay and risk analyses, preparing reports, and providing planning support to ensure the successful delivery of projects. The role requires close collaboration with clients, contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders to drive project performance and achieve key milestones.

Your role

• Review and assess contractors' baseline schedules for compliance with contract requirements, project milestones, and construction sequencing.
• Monitor project progress and performance against approved baseline programmes and recommend corrective actions as required.
• Prepare and review short-term and long-term look-ahead schedules to support project execution and resource planning.
• Analyze schedule risks, critical paths, constraints, and potential impacts on project delivery.
• Conduct delay analysis and provide support for Extension of Time (EOT) assessments and claims evaluation.
• Review and validate contractor progress reports, recovery plans, and revised schedules.
• Develop project dashboards, KPI reports, earned value metrics, and schedule performance analyses.
• Coordinate with resident engineers, construction managers, contractors, and client representatives to collect and validate progress data.
• Monitor engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure alignment with project schedules.
• Identify schedule deviations and proactively recommend mitigation and acceleration strategies.
• Support project controls, risk management, forecasting, and change management processes.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports with clear executive summaries and schedule analysis.
• Participate in project review meetings, progress meetings, and stakeholder workshops.
• Ensure planning and reporting activities comply with contractual requirements, consultant procedures, and industry best practices.
• Review schedule impacts associated with design changes, variations, procurement issues, and site constraints.
• Assist in project closeout planning, testing and commissioning schedules, and handover milestones.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent. Primavera P6 capability/certification preferred.
