Job summary

Acwa is seeking a Senior Performance Engineer to join our Operations team, driving performance, efficiency, and reliability across power and water plants. You will monitor operations, analyze KPIs, and lead root-cause investigations to implement improvements.

Ideal candidates have 8–10 years in process/performance engineering within utilities, with at least 2 years in supervision, and strong SAP/CMMS experience. A collaborative, safety‑driven mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years in process/performance engineering within power generation and water desalination plants.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation systems.
• Familiarity with PV, BESS, Internal Combustion Engines, SWRO, sewage treatment, district cooling, and solid waste management (a plus).
• Proficiency in SAP, CMMS, downtime analysis, and performance metrics.
• Strong planning, problem-solving, and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily operations and ensure plant performance within defined parameters.
• Analyse and report on plant efficiency, availability, and performance KPIs.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, recommend improvements, and support root cause analyses.
• Oversee inspections, preventive/corrective maintenance, and performance audits.
• Ensure strict compliance with HSE standards, supporting a safe and efficient workplace.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, HSE, and Finance teams to optimise outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support integrated management systems.
