Job summary

WSP's Earth and Environment team seeks a Senior Consultant with extensive experience in environmental supervision, audits, and EMS services. The role is project-based and on-site in a remote area of KSA, requiring strong leadership across disciplines.

You will oversee environmental management systems, review CESMPs and ESIA reports, and lead on-site inspections and reporting, while mentoring on project-wide environmental initiatives.

Qualifications

• BSc and MSc degrees in environmental or engineering disciplines.
• 10+ years of experience in environmental supervision.
• Experience with environmental management systems, ISO 14001 preferred.
• Ability to work across multiple disciplines and flexibly with teams.
• Strong technical problem-solving and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertake environmental audits and inspections on site and guide contractors to meet environmental requirements.
• Prepare environmental monitoring and audit reports.
• Review and update the environmental management system and propose corrective actions.
• Oversee implementation of environmental management systems.
• Review CESMPs, ESIA reports, and other environmental studies as needed.
• Carry out reconnaissance surveys and pre-construction site assessments.
• Review weekly and monthly environmental reports from contractors.
• Report environmental incidents, investigate, and follow up on actions.
• Develop and implement a project-specific communication strategy.
• Implement environmental awareness campaigns and training as necessary.
