Job summary

Alqotr is seeking an experienced Electrical Site Supervisor to oversee on-site electrical works, ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and codes, and coordinate with multiple trades to deliver systems on schedule.

The role requires a bachelor in electrical engineering, 10 years of supervision experience, and strong knowledge of IEC, NEC, IEEE standards. Safety and quality are a priority, with hands-on oversight from installation through testing and handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in project supervision.
• Strong knowledge of codes and standards (IEC, NEC, IEEE).

Responsibilities

• Daily supervision of electrical works (power – lighting – panels – cables – low current systems – grounding – lightning protection).
• Review and approve Shop Drawings and ensure compliance with IFC drawings.
• Review and approve Material Submittals and ensure compliance with specifications and codes (IEC, NEC, IEEE).
• Monitor cable laying, pulling, connections, termination, and insulation testing.
• Supervise the installation of electrical panels MDB, SMDB, DB and ensure proper connections.
• Monitor low current systems such as CCTV, Access Control, BMS, Data & Communication.
• Conduct electrical tests including Insulation Resistance Test, Continuity Test, Earth Resistance Test, Functional Testing.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to avoid conflicts (Civil, Mechanical, Architectural).
• Prepare daily and weekly reports on work progress and observations.
• Manage and guide technicians and contractors to ensure quality execution.
• Prepare Snag Lists and follow up on their closure.
• Participate in initial commissioning works and ensure systems are ready for handover.
• Monitor electrical safety and ensure adherence to HSE procedures.
