Job summary

KBR - Inhouse Engineering in Abu Dhabi, UAE, is seeking a Senior Offshore Structural Engineer to perform and verify fixed offshore structural assessment, modification, strengthening and life-extension work on offshore platforms. You will develop safe, constructible solutions from records, surveys and operating constraints.

You will review drawings, update SACS models, define load cases, conduct fatigue/seismic checks, and mentor junior engineers while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Master's degree in Structural or Offshore Engineering advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Review existing drawings, calculations, reports, SACS models, inspection records and modification history.
• Validate, update or reconstruct SACS models for as-built geometry and conditions.
• Define load cases and combinations; interpret metocean, geotechnical, weight-control inputs.
• Perform and check member, joint, deck, support, connection and foundation checks; prepare calculations.
• Assess aging structures and recommend monitoring, repair, strengthening or acceptance.
• Review structural drawings for compliance with calculations and design intent; mentor junior engineers.
