Job summary

First Gulf Company seeks a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, secure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across data center, campus, and perimeter environments. Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching, multi‑layer firewalls, NAC technologies, and Aruba ClearPass is required.

You will ensure high availability, security, and performance of all network services supporting mission‑critical operations. English and Arabic proficiency are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with Cisco Routing & Switching.
• Experience with enterprise firewalls, NAC, and network security controls.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and optimize LAN/WAN infrastructure across core, distribution, and access layers.
• Configure, operate, and troubleshoot Cisco switches and routers.
• Administer Aruba ClearPass NAC for endpoint authentication and policy enforcement.
• Configure firewall policies, NAT, ACLs, VPNs, and security zones.
• Monitor firewall logs, NAC alerts, VPN activity, and security events.
• Ensure secure connectivity via IPSec and SSL VPN for internal and remote sites.
• Lead incident response for outages and security events.
• Maintain network diagrams, configurations, SOPs, and change records.

The Senior Network Engineer will design, implement, secure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across data center, campus, and perimeter environments. The role requires strong hands‑on experience with Cisco routing and switching, multi‑layer firewalls, NAC technologies, and Aruba ClearPass. The engineer will ensure high availability, security, and performance of all network services supporting mission‑critical operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and optimize LAN/WAN network infrastructure across core, distribution, and access layers.
• Configure, operate, and troubleshoot Cisco switches and routers
• Administer Aruba ClearPass NAC for endpoint authentication, device profiling, access control, and policy enforcement.
• Configure and optimize firewall policies, NAT rules, ACLs, VPN access, and security zones.
• Monitor firewall logs, NAC alerts, VPN activity, and security events to detect anomalies and potential threats.
• Ensure secure connectivity for internal users, external partners, and remote sites using IPSec, SSL VPN, and advanced firewall policies.
• Lead troubleshooting and incident response for network outages, degradations, and security‑related events.
• Maintain updated documentation including network diagrams, configurations, SOPs, and change management records.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum 3 years hands‑on experience in: Cisco Routing & Switching
• Enterprise Firewalls (Perimeter, Extranet, DC) Network Access Control (NAC) Aruba ClearPass
• Strong operational expertise in BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, RIP
• Solid understanding of VLANs, STP, QoS, ACLs, HSRP/VRRP, EtherChannel, and network segmentation
• Experience with enterprise monitoring and logging tools.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in English and Arabic is mandatory

Preferred Certifications

• CCNP Enterprise or CCNP Security
• Aruba ClearPass Certified Professional (ACCP)
• Fortinet NSE4/NSE5 or Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSEITIL Foundion
