Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• Certifications like CCNP, CCNP Data Center Core, Fortinet NSE, or Palo Alto PCNSE preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in network administration and design.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, VLAN, QoS, IPsec, VPN).
• Experience with Cisco, Juniper, and Fortinet equipment.
• Proficiency in network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios) and SNMP configurations.
• Strong vendor management and project coordination skills.
• Strong collaboration with IT, cybersecurity, and compliance teams.

Responsibilities

• Network Design & Implementation: Design and deploy LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN networks.
• Configure routers, switches, and firewalls, ensuring security and operational standards.
• Network Security: Implement security measures (firewalls, NAC, encryption) and coordinate with cybersecurity teams.
• Network Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform upgrades, patches, and troubleshooting for network issues.
• Network Monitoring & Optimization: Use SolarWinds, Nagios, and PRTG for performance monitoring and proactive alerts.
• Vendor Management: Manage vendor relationships, oversee network projects, and ensure SLAs and specs.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain documentation of network configurations, incidents, and resolutions.
• Collaboration: Work with IT, cybersecurity, and compliance teams for integration and solutions.
