Job summary

WSP is seeking an experienced Mechanical Inspector to join our Construction Supervision team for a major infrastructure project at KAEC, supporting roads, utilities, and industrial works. You will oversee the inspection of mechanical installations, ensuring compliance with drawings, specs, quality standards, and safety.

You will monitor water networks, firefighting, irrigation, sewerage, and stormwater infrastructure, collaborating with the Resident Engineer and project team to deliver

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in construction supervision and inspection.
• Experience inspecting mechanical water, firefighting, irrigation, sewerage and stormwater systems.
• Strong communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
• Fluency in English; Arabic advantageous.
• Diploma or Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor mechanical infrastructure works to ensure compliance with drawings, specs, and contract requirements.
• Review and verify materials delivered to site for compliance with approved specs.
• Witness testing, flushing, pressure testing, commissioning and handover activities.
• Identify non-conforming works and track corrective actions to closure.
• Maintain detailed inspection records and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and stakeholders to resolve site-related technical issues.
