Job summary

AECOM is seeking a detail-oriented Materials Inspector for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. You will verify construction materials meet specifications, review test reports, and coordinate testing with engineers to ensure quality across projects.

Your role demands extensive knowledge of Saudi standards, strong documentation, and the ability to travel between sites to support audits and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of materials inspection, QA, or QC in construction.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering or related field.
• In-depth knowledge of Saudi Arabian construction standards and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of materials including concrete, aggregates, steel, asphalt, and soil properties.
• Proficiency in material testing standards and inspection methodologies.
• Strong reporting and documentation skills.
• Solid Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) understanding.
• Willingness to travel to multiple project sites.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and verify construction materials meet approved specifications, submittals, and contract requirements.
• Review material source approvals, batch certificates, and test reports prior to acceptance.
• Conduct sampling and witness testing for concrete, aggregates, steel, asphalt, soil.
• Verify materials conform to drawings and Saudi standards.
• Monitor storage, handling, and protection to prevent contamination or deterioration.
• Coordinate testing schedules and material approvals with Material and Site Engineers.
• Prepare and submit Work Inspection Requests and related documentation.
• Maintain inspection records and material logs for QA/QC and as-built docs.
• Identify non-conforming materials and issue Non-Conformance Reports with corrective actions.
• Ensure HSE compliance during material handling and testing.
• Report daily site activities, material inspection findings, and testing status.
