Are you an experienced and meticulous logistics professional specializing in the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) sector? We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Material Engineer with deep expertise in HVAC and Plumbing systems to oversee the entire material lifecycle for our critical projects.

This senior role is essential for maintaining project quality, efficiency, and schedule by ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are procured, tracked, and delivered precisely when needed.

What You Will Do (Core Responsibilities):

• End-to-End Procurement: Lead the ordering and purchasing of all HVAC and plumbing equipment, parts, and consumables, strictly ensuring compliance with project specifications and stringent quality standards.
• Advanced Inventory Management: Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and computerized systems to maintain accurate, real-time inventory records. Conduct regular cycle counts and audits to ensure zero stock discrepancies.
• Logistics & Site Coordination: Mastermind the complex logistical coordination, overseeing receiving, inspection, safe storage, and timely distribution of materials from the warehouse to multiple job sites.
• Strategic Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with global suppliers and vendors. Negotiate optimal pricing, track vendor performance, and proactively resolve all supply chain and delivery challenges.
• Cost Control & Efficiency: Implement strategies to monitor material usage, minimize waste, and align inventory levels directly with project demand and budgetary targets.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all material handling, storage, and procedures strictly adhere to local and international health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA, local building codes).
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain exhaustive logs of all material transactions (POs, invoices, test certificates) and prepare critical reports on inventory status, project material costs, and progress for senior management.

What You Will Bring (Mandatory Skills & Qualifications):

• Education: Minimum requirement of a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: A minimum of 12 years of demonstrable experience in a similar Material Engineer or Procurement/Logistics role within the construction or engineering industry.
• Technical Proficiency:
  • In-depth understanding of international engineering standards, building codes, and construction supervision services.
  • Proven expertise in using ERP systems for robust inventory management.
• Core Competencies: Exceptional organizational, time-management, and analytical skills. Superior attention to detail for maintaining accurate records and compliance.
