Job summary

AtkinsRéalis Group is seeking a Sr. Logistics Manager to plan, coordinate and oversee all logistical aspects of a major construction project in Saudi Arabia.

You will manage delivery, storage and distribution of materials, organize site access and traffic flow, and ensure regulatory compliance to keep operations efficient. You will drive risk-based planning, coordinate with suppliers and contractors, and implement site safety, QA, and welfare programs while monitoring KPIs and progress in weekly

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management or Real Estate Development.
• Chartership preferred.
• CSCS, SMSTS/SSSTS, Recognised safety programme, First Aid, Lifting Supervisor Certification, Traffic management, Institutional membership.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and oversee all site logistics for construction projects.
• Lead delivery of site-wide logistics through contractor procurement and KPI monitoring.
• Ensure safe, orderly movement of labour, plant and materials on site.
• Create and maintain secure, well‑maintained sites with regular logistics meetings.
• Develop processes, induction programs and lookahead logistics plans.
• Manage supply chain movements, site access and incident response.
• Communicate milestones and risks through regular meetings and dashboards.
• Ensure logistics do not constrain project program and budgets.

Overview

The Sr. Logistics Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all logistical aspects of a construction project to ensure smooth site operations. This role involves managing the delivery, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment, organizing site access and traffic flow, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. The manager works closely with project teams, suppliers, and contractors to optimize resource utilization, minimize delays, and maintain accurate documentation. Their primary goal is to keep the site efficient, safe, and well-organized throughout the project lifecycle.

Your role

Performance

• Effective delivery of site-wide logistics through the procurement of a site-wide Logistics management contractor.
• Define and monitor that the scope of services is delivered satisfactorily through setting and monitoring of measurable goals and objectives around the following broad key enablers.
• Orderly, safe and efficiently movement of labour, plant, and materials around site.
• Creation of a secure, well maintained site with regular logistics meetings.
• Efficient and orderly management of any worker’s accommodation.
• Development of processes, procedures and induction programmes.
• Supply chain management, movement plans and lookahead forecasting.
• Ensuring logistics activities are not a constraining factor on the program.
• Creating of site-specific safety manual, with appropriate first aid cover and equipment present.
• Develop, maintain and update the Site Emergency Plan.
• Ensuring information is communicated effectively around the site.
• Planning for effective signage in line with corporate branding.
• Efficient management of any special public access roads – access to show houses/sales pavilions etc.
• Provision of an effective security management system that ensures all the above is achievable.

Change Management

• Variations and adjustments to Logistics Contractors scope, review the requirements and assess the impacts. Monitor construction change management process via the Engineer.

Permitting

• The Logistics Contractor’s acquisition of all necessary permits for smooth logistics operations.

Cost

• Review completeness of established budgets and review cost plans. Ensure that work is re-measured and work is signed off in accordance with the contract.

Planning

• The monthly detailed graphical time slice showing plot and infrastructure activities and how logistics will support.
• Review weekly plans, confirm the activities are accurate and coordinated across stakeholders.

Risk

• Review detailed risk register developed by logistics contractor and team coordinated with all site stakeholders, complete with implement mitigation plan.

Interface

• Provide coordination across all programme consultants and stakeholders related to logistics works.
• Provide support to plots in terms of external access and influences that impact plot activities.

Communication

• Through regular meetings, highlight issues, concerns and roll out weekly directions to stakeholder’s team managers. Seek resolution to any issues with the respective plot, infrastructure or logistics teams or escalate with the proposed mitigation plan.

Reporting

• Weekly issues through detailed logistics dashboards.

Assurance

• Submission of checklists of all logistics contractor self-audits (QA, Safety, Environmental, Welfare etc.) review and report on status.

About you

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management or Real Estate Development
• Chartership preferred.
• CSCS, SMSTS/SSSTS, Recognised safety programme (qualified and up to date), First Aid, Lifting Supervisor Certification, Traffic management, Institutional membership.

Experience

• More than 15 years as a Sitewide Logistics expert in management of complex, matrixed team environments across multiple cultures.
• Prior Abu Dhabi projects experience is mandatory (Hospitality, Mixed use, Residential projects).
• Fluent in English (read, write and speak).
