Job summary

Aljomaih Energy and Water Company (AEW) is seeking a Manager, Internal Audit & Risk Management to lead risk-based internal audits and contribute to the design and operation of AEW's ERM framework. You will work across corporate functions and project entities, collaborating with senior management, external auditors and regulators.

The role requires proactive thinking, strong analytical and report-writing skills, and a sound understanding of the utilities development industry, including

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related discipline.
• Master's degree or MBA preferred.
• Eight to ten years of relevant professional experience, of which four to five years in internal audit, risk management or external audit.
• Experience with a Big Four firm or similar industry preferred.
• Exposure to IPP/IWP structures, project SPVs, joint ventures, EPC and O&M contracts and project finance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute annual risk-based internal audits in your area of responsibility.
• Evaluate and improve processes and controls across functions.
• Assess compliance with laws, regulations and policies; report findings to senior management and Audit Committee.
• Monitor implementation of audit recommendations.
• Review and improve company-wide policies and procedures.
• Audit project lifecycle from origination to handover; review EPC, O&M, PPA/WPA and finance covenants.
• Support ERM framework development and maintenance; identify and mitigate risks.
• Maintain risk register and communicate risks to stakeholders.
• Handle ad hoc advisory engagements with timely, quality deliverables.
