Penspen is seeking a Senior Instrumentation & Control Engineer in Saudi Arabia to lead I&C deliverables for major Oil & Gas/Petrochemical projects. You will review instrument data, I/O lists, loop diagrams, and control logic to ensure ISA/IEC compliance and seamless system integration.

The role requires 12+ years in I&C engineering (6+ with Oil & Gas/Petrochemical projects) and a Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation & Control or related fields. DCS experience is essential.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in I&C engineering for major Oil & Gas/Petrochemical projects.
• 6+ years specifically in I&C with DCS experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation & Control, Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical engineering.

Responsabilités

• Oversee I&C deliverables by EPC contractor per ISA/IEC standards.
• Review datasheets, I/O lists, loop diagrams, and control logic narratives.
• Validate integration of DCS/ESD/FG with field instruments.
• Evaluate vendor submittals, FAT procedures, and deviations.
• Support design reviews to ensure operability and maintainability.
• Assist field verification, loop checks, and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with project HSE and control standards.

Job Title: Senior Instrumentation & Control Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee instrumentation and control engineering deliverables developed by the EPC contractor, ensuring compliance with project requirements and international standards (ISA, IEC).
• Review instrument datasheets, I/O lists, loop diagrams, and control logic narratives.
• Validate integration between control systems (DCS, ESD, F&G) and field instruments.
• Evaluate vendor submittals, FAT procedures, and technical deviations.
• Participate in design reviews and ensure operability and maintainability of control systems.
• Support field verification, loop checks, and commissioning activities.
• Provide assurance of compliance with project HSE and control system standards.

Experience Required

• Twelve (12) years of experience; Six (6) years of them within the field of Instrumentation & Control Engineering for major Oil and Gas/Petrochemical projects. DCS experience required.

Education Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering/Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical Engineering.
