Job summary

Penspen is seeking a Senior Instrumentation & Control Engineer to oversee I&C deliverables for major Oil & Gas projects in Saudi Arabia. Based in Alkhafji, you will ensure compliance with ISA and IEC standards and coordinate with EPC contractors.

You will validate DCS integration, support FATs and commissioning, and drive operability and maintainability of control systems while upholding HSE and project standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering (or Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical).
• Minimum 12 years of experience, including 6+ years in major Oil & Gas/Petrochemical projects.
• DCS experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee I&C deliverables developed by EPC contractors and ensure compliance with ISA and IEC.
• Review datasheets, I/O lists, loop diagrams, and control narratives.
• Validate integration between DCS/ESD/F&G and field instruments.
• Support commissioning activities and field verifications.

Job Description

Oversee instrumentation and control engineering deliverables developed by the EPC contractor, ensuring compliance with project requirements and international standards (ISA, IEC). Review instrument datasheets, I/O lists, loop diagrams, and control logic narratives. Validate integration between control systems (DCS, ESD, F&G) and field instruments. Evaluate vendor submittals, FAT procedures, and technical deviations. Participate in design reviews and ensure operability and maintainability of control systems. Support field verification, loop checks, and commissioning activities. Provide assurance of compliance with project HSE and control system standards.

Required Experience Criteria In Years

Twelve (12) years of experience; Six (6) years of them within the field of Instrumentation & Control Engineering for major Oil and Gas/Petrochemical projects. DCS experience required.

Minimum Education Qualification Required

Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering/Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical Engineering.
