Job summary

National Medical Care is seeking an Infection Control Specialist to participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the infection control program across hospital staff and departments. Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required.
• Preference for staff with infection control specialty training/education.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular rounds to discuss, monitor and follow infection control practices with hospital staff.
• Collect data on nosocomial infections and maintain records for each case.
• Conduct continuous surveillance to detect infection sources for prevention.
• Assist in swabs of high-risk areas and report findings to Infection Control Supervisor & Chief of Medical Staff.
• Develop and implement education programs to improve staff infection control practices.
