Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead end-of-line and in-process test capability for high-voltage battery packs at AMP-2 in KSA. You will own test-process definition, launch support, issue investigation, and continuous improvement across production, partnering with local manufacturing, process, quality, and US‑based battery design and software teams.

The role requires 5+ years in HV battery systems, BMS or power electronics, and strong data-analysis skills.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with high-voltage systems and HV safety principles.
• Experience enabling end-of-line test specs for prototype and mass production.
• Knowledge of battery KPIs: capacity, DCIR, and contact resistance.
• Proficient in data analysis with Python/SQL/MATLAB and CAN data tools.
• Strong root-cause skills using fishbone and 8D for issue closure.
• Solid understanding of battery architecture: contactors, HV chain, BMS, and power electronics.
• Excellent technical English, written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel to Lucid HQ in California as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-of-line test process definition and debugging for high-voltage packs at AMP-2.
• Perform FA/BM analysis to identify failure modes and improve tests.
• Validate hardware/software revisions with integration testing.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, process, and quality to meet requirements.
• Lead root-cause using fishbone and 8D to prevent production interruptions.
• Analyze fleet data to improve test detection and reduce field failures.
• Provide feedback to US engineering on progress, risks, challenges.
• Develop on-site diagnostic capability in KSA for advanced investigations.
• Develop analytics dashboards with data science teams to track FPY and failure causes.
