Job summary

TalentHive is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic to support a Saudi-based operation. You will service and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems and drives across a diverse fleet of excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders and graders.

The role emphasizes diagnostics, preventive maintenance and on-site repairs at workshops and project sites, with a strong focus on safety, reliability and uptime in a dynamic, equipment-intensive environment.

Qualifications

Proven hands-on experience as a Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic with maintenance and repair of heavy construction gear.
Experience on excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders, graders and backhoe loaders.
Strong knowledge of heavy-duty diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions and mechanical components.
Ability to diagnose and repair hydraulic and mechanical faults independently.
Experience with preventive maintenance, breakdown repairs and major mechanical repairs.
Experience using diagnostic equipment and workshop tools in a safe, compliant environment.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair mechanical faults on heavy construction and earthmoving equipment.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on diesel-powered heavy machinery.
Inspect, maintain and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, gearboxes and other mechanical components.
Carry out maintenance and repairs on equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders, graders and backhoe loaders.
Identify root causes of failures and implement repairs to minimise downtime.
Conduct routine inspections, servicing, component replacements and overhauls.
Respond to equipment breakdowns at workshops and project sites.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders.
