Job summary

Smit Lamnalco is seeking an experienced Harbour and SPM Pilot based in Dhahran Compound, Saudi Arabia. The role involves conducting safe and efficient pilotage on tanker vessels, commanding ships through various environments, and ensuring compliance with harbor rules.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' experience, a Master Class 1 certification, and fluency in English, with Arabic being an advantage. A competitive compensation & benefit package is offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' experience as a Harbour and SPM pilot in the maritime industry.
• Experience with local navigation rules and geography.
• Medically fit is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safe and efficient pilotage duties on tankers.
• Command ships into and out of harbors and bays.
• Direct ship course and speed using specialized knowledge.
• Instruct tugboat captains for berthing operations.
