Job summary

Parsons in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia seeks a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead geotechnical activities for a major Rail Transit project. You will supervise a team of geotechnical engineers, coordinate with Design Consultants and PM-CM teams, and provide technical direction on complex ground engineering solutions.

The role emphasizes review of tunnels, deep excavations, diaphragm walls, foundations, and retaining systems, with a focus on high-quality geotechnical design and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience on large civil construction projects.
• Proven experience leading geotechnical engineering teams.
• Strong track record in geotechnical investigation management and interpretation.
• Experience with deep and shallow foundations, piles, and retaining walls.
• Knowledge of tunnel-related geotechnical engineering and major infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical engineers and coordinate with Design Consultants and PM-CM teams.
• Provide technical direction for complex geotechnical engineering solutions.
• Review geotechnical work by design consultants and contractors.
• Compare earthworks and geotechnical designs against project specs.
• Review tunnel, diaphragm wall, foundation, and retaining wall designs.
• Apply engineering methods and software (gINT, Plaxis, Slope W, Seep W, Piglet).
