Saudi Gold Refinery (SGR) seeks a Team Leader Geologist in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to lead the technical evaluation of mineral assets and exploration data, ensuring compliance with MIM regulations and industry best practices.

The role bridges exploration work with the refinery's sourcing strategy, supervising geologists and field crews while driving due diligence, resource estimation, and regulatory reporting to support responsible sourcing and project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or Earth Sciences required.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in mineral exploration, resource estimation, or mining geology preferred.
• Proven track record leading exploration teams and field operations in the Middle East.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee exploration work programs aligned with regulatory license conditions.
• Validate geological data from third-party suppliers to support responsible sourcing and KYC processes.
• Ensure compliance with MIM licensing procedures and Saudi Geological Survey reporting requirements.
• Supervise junior geologists and field technicians; implement training for technical competency and field safety.
• Oversee data interpretation using standard software and GIS tools; review resource estimates for international reporting codes (JORC/NI 43-101).
• Prepare technical reports for regulatory bodies and investors; maintain organized geological databases.
