Job summary

WSP in the Middle East is seeking a Senior Consultant – Fire & Life Safety to join our team in Riyadh. In this leadership role, you will lead consultations regarding fire protection and life safety systems for large-scale projects. You will develop strategies and ensure compliance with codes including the Saudi Building Code and international standards.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years of consulting experience in fire safety, excellent communication, and expertise in risk assessments and compliance. This position offers opportunities for team mentorship and significant client engagement.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in fire life safety/protection engineering consulting.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi Building Code (SBC 201 and SBC 801), international codes, and standards.
• Expertise in fire detection and alarm systems, smoke control systems, and compliance audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead consultations regarding fire and life safety systems for complex projects.
• Ensure compliance with codes and standards during design and inspections.
• Conduct fire risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Lead integrated testing and commissioning of fire and life safety systems.
• Engage with clients and provide expert advice to ensure satisfaction.
• Coordinate with stakeholders for smooth project delivery.
• Mentor junior consultants and foster knowledge sharing.
• Support business growth initiatives through proposals and industry representation.
• Participate in conferences and professional forums to raise team profile.
