At AESG we are looking for a Senior Fire & Life Safety Consultant to support our Fire and Life Safety team and work alongside our other specialist disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading delivery and project management tasks on projects and shall report to Associates, Principals and Directors.
• Supporting the successful delivery of projects to a high standard including technical support to juniors and consultants within the department.
• Maintain high quality of the FLS submittals with efficient time delivery with QAQC ownership.
• Creating and editing of drawings and sketches in compliance with AESG CAD and PDF Standards and detailing practices.
• Prepare and review of architectural Fire and Life Safety Drawings.
• Prepare and write FLS Strategy reports and studies when assigned by senior and associate consultants.
• Participate in the continuous development of FLS design deliverables.
• Participate in the financial success of the department including projects pipeline, monthly and annual forecast, accounts receivable and efficient project delivery.
• Develop professional expertise in fire & life safety requirements as per NFPA, SBC, IBC, and UAE FLS Codes.
• Work on all matters relevant to fire and life safety scopes such as FLS strategy, FLS drawings, fire protection (when needed), site inspection and others.
• Meet the timeline set for the generation of all fire and life safety designs, reports and related submission tasks such as client meetings and workshops.

Must Have / Be

• Bachelors degree level in Engineering or equivalent studies related to area of expertise.
• Minimum 7+ years of FLS technical experience.
• Native Arabic Speaker.
• Good technical knowledge in Fire Safety/Engineering working within Residential, Commercial, and Hotels sectors in the Middle East.
• A good understanding of Building Services Engineering and interdisciplinary design through all stages of the design process.
• Able to take a brief from the project lead and deliver & control the tasks required, within time and budget.
