Job summary

SlihRMS is seeking an experienced Field Engineer - Materials for a major site supervision project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. You will oversee material compliance, testing, and approvals across procurement, storage, and installation.

Responsibilities include reviewing submittals, coordinating testing, and ensuring adherence to ITPs and international codes, with strong communication to the Resident Engineer and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8+ years of overall professional experience in construction materials engineering, quality control, or site supervision.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in materials inspection, testing, or supervision on major construction projects.
• Experience with large-scale buildings, convention centers, hospitality developments, or similar projects.
• Experience in Site Supervision Consultancy, PMC, or Engineering Consultancy environments is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, testing methodologies, and QA/QC procedures.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect construction materials to ensure compliance with project specs and quality requirements.
• Review material submittals, data sheets, certificates of compliance, and manufacturers' docs.
• Verify materials delivered to site conform to submissions and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate and witness material sampling, testing, and laboratory inspections.
• Maintain records of approvals, test reports, and certifications; monitor traceability.
• Identify non-conforming materials and coordinate corrective actions with teams.
• Support QA/QC in closure of NCRs and material-related observations.
• Coordinate with laboratories and testing agencies to verify compliance.
• Inspect storage facilities and material handling to ensure protection and preservation.
• Assist during testing, commissioning, snagging, and handover phases.
