Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Saudi Arabia to contribute to the design and optimization of mechanical utility systems. You will lead analysis, calculations, and documentation, while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

The role requires strong engineering skills, independence, and ability to manage multiple tasks within budget and schedule. It offers on-site collaboration with cross-functional teams in a global infrastructure leader.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 10-15 years of professional engineering experience in mechanical utilities or related systems.
  • Proficiency in engineering calculations, design software, and CAD applications.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical codes, standards, and regulatory requirements (ASME, ANSI, local building codes).
  • Demonstrated experience developing technical documentation, design calculations, and engineering reports.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical utility systems design, installation, and operation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to identify and implement corrective actions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks within budget and schedule constraints.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a professional engineering environment.

  • Develops and maintains comprehensive technical documentation, including design calculations, specifications, and engineering reports.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements for mechanical utilities systems.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams including operations, maintenance, and project management to optimize system performance and reliability.
  • Conducts quality assurance reviews and oversees testing protocols to verify design integrity and system functionality.
  • Participates in project planning and scheduling activities to ensure timely delivery of engineering deliverables.
  • Recommends process improvements and efficiency enhancements for mechanical utility systems based on performance analysis.
  • Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position.
