Job summary

Egis is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to provide oversight, coordination, and construction supervision support for electrical works on AlUla infrastructure projects. The role ensures compliance with designs, Saudi regulations, and international standards, coordinating with multiple stakeholders to deliver testing, commissioning and handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from a recognized university.
• 10+ years of relevant professional experience in major infrastructure, utilities and development projects.
• Experience in electrical infrastructure including HV/MV/LV distribution, substations, transformers, street lighting, external networks and associated systems.
• Experience working in PMC/PMCM, engineering consultancy or construction supervision environments.
• Previous experience in Saudi Arabia and/or the GCC is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical oversight of electrical works during construction, testing, commissioning and handover.
• Sanity checks electrical drawings, specs, method statements, material submissions, shop drawings and technical proposals for compliance with project requirements.
• Monitor installation of electrical infrastructure including HV/MV/LV networks, substations, transformers, switchgear and distribution systems.
• Coordinate electrical works with civil, utilities, roads, architectural, mechanical, ICT and other project disciplines.
• Coordinate interfaces with SEC and other utility providers and authorities as required.
• Support the Project Manager/Resident Engineer in facilitating approvals necessary for construction.
• Monitor contractor progress against the approved programme and identify electrical activities affecting milestones.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering

Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration applicable

Professional engineering registration or membership
