To support our localization strategy and continued growth in the Middle East, we are seeking a Senior MV & HV Electrical Application and Development Engineer based in Riyadh. This role will play a critical technical leadership position, bridging headquarters R&D, regional business teams, and customers.

The successful candidate will lead the application-driven development and localization of medium and high voltage electrical products, translate customer and market requirements into practical product solutions, and support the full project lifecycle from pre-sales to after-sales. This position is ideal for a technically strong professional with solid GCC market exposure, strong customer-facing capability, and a passion for product innovation and localization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the application-oriented R&D and localization of MV & HV electrical products, including power transformers, HV/MV/LV switchgear, prefabricated substations, and related equipment, in line with GCC market and regulatory requirements.
• Provide comprehensive technical support to regional sales teams, distributors, and end customers throughout pre-sales, bidding, project execution, and after-sales stages.
• Engage directly with customers to identify, clarify, and analyze technical requirements, converting market demand into feasible product development plans or product portfolio expansion strategies.
• Support regional business development through customer visits, technical discussions, solution presentations, and long-term relationship building.
• Participate in the formulation and optimization of regional product standards, technical specifications, and compliance frameworks.
• Deliver product, system, and application training to internal teams, partners, and customers to enhance technical capabilities and product adoption.
• Conduct on-site configuration, commissioning, testing, trial operation, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis to ensure reliable product performance and customer satisfaction.
• Provide regular feedback to headquarters on product performance, market trends, customer needs, and regional business insights.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in R&D, design, or application engineering of power transmission and distribution equipment, including transformers, HV/MV/LV switchgear, and substations.
• Strong understanding of power system applications, product standards, and customer requirements in the GCC region.
• Proficient in 3D design tools such as Creo or SolidWorks, with hands-on experience in product development and optimization.
• Strong ability to work independently with a proactive mindset and a strong passion for technical innovation and product development.
• Willingness to be based long-term in Saudi Arabia, with frequent travel across GCC countries and on-site project support.
• Strong adaptability, execution capability, and teamwork skills, with the ability to effectively bridge technical solutions and business needs.
• Experience in business development support, demand analysis, or product line expansion is a strong plus.
