Job summary

Halian | Managed Services, Recruitment Agency & Contract Staffing is seeking an experienced Cloud DevOps Engineer to design and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines on Google Cloud Platform. You will manage infrastructure as code, architect scalable solutions, and build self-service provisioning tools while ensuring security and compliance across enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in a DevOps or Cloud Engineering role with a focus on GCP.
• CI/CD pipeline design, build, and maintenance using Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD.
• IaC using Terraform or Deployment Manager for provisioning GCP resources.
• Solid understanding of core GCP services (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, VPC).
• Automation and scripting in Python, Bash, or Go for task automation and self-service tooling.
• Systems integration with enterprise systems (approval engines, change management, asset management, DNS, security).
• Configuration management and CMDB awareness; automate updates to cloud resources.
• Cloud resource discovery, monitoring, logging, and performance tracking.
• Self-service portal development for provisioning cloud services.
• Cloud security best practices and compliance controls.

We are looking for an experienced Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our clients team, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines, managing infrastructure as code, and architecting scalable solutions on Google Cloud Platform. You will play a key role in integrating cloud services with enterprise systems, building self-service provisioning tools, and ensuring best practices in cloud security and configuration management.

Skills Required

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineering role, with a focus on GCP.
• CI/CD Pipeline Expertise: Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines using relevant tools (e.g., Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD). Demonstrated ability to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Extensive experience with IaC tools such as Terraform or Deployment Manager for provisioning and managing GCP resources. Ability to create reusable modules and templates for consistent infrastructure deployments.
• GCP Services and Architecture: Solid understanding of core GCP services (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, VPC, etc.) and experience designing and implementing cloud architectures following best practices.
• Automation and Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Go) for automating tasks, integrating systems, and developing self-service tools.
• Systems Integration: Demonstrated experience integrating cloud platforms with enterprise systems such as approval engines, change management systems, asset management systems, DNS, and security/compliance tools. Understanding of APIs and web services.
• Configuration Management: Experience with configuration management tools and processes. Familiarity with CMDB systems and the ability to automate updates based on cloud resource usage.
• Cloud Resource Discovery and Management: Experience designing and implementing solutions for discovering and managing cloud resources. Experience with monitoring and logging tools to track resource utilization and performance.
• Self-Service Portal Development: Experience in designing and implementing user-friendly self-service portals for requesting and provisioning cloud services.
• Cloud Security Best Practices: Understanding of cloud security principles and best practices. Experience implementing security controls and ensuring compliance with security policies.
