Job summary

Valpro is seeking a Senior DeltaV Automation Engineer for a long-term contract to lead DeltaV automation across a pharmaceutical process area. You will own functional specifications, control strategies, and software changes, coordinating with engineering, validation, and system integration teams.

The role requires strong DeltaV and DeltaV Batch experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, GMP, and ISA-88 knowledge. Expect early 2027 start with a long-term engagement and potential extension.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong Emerson DeltaV and DeltaV Batch experience.
• Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience.
• Working knowledge of ISA-88 / S88.
• GMP and validation experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead DeltaV automation activities for an assigned pharmaceutical process area.
• Develop and review functional specifications, control strategies, phases, and recipes.
• Review P&IDs and define required DeltaV software changes.
• Provide technical oversight of software development and code reviews.
• Support software testing, FAT, defect resolution, and change verification.
• Coordinate with process engineering, automation, validation, and system integration teams.
• Identify technical risks and resolve automation issues.

Position Summary

Valpro is seeking a Senior DeltaV Automation Engineer for a long-term contract supporting a major pharmaceutical manufacturing automation project. This role will provide technical ownership of DeltaV automation for an assigned process area, including functional specifications, control strategies, software development, testing, FAT, and implementation.

Anticipated Start: Early 2027 | Expected Duration: Through Q4 2027, with potential extension
