Job summary

Theron Solutions seeks an experienced IBM DataStage Architect to lead end-to-end data integration strategies in Riyadh. You will drive architecture decisions, design scalable pipelines, and mentor teams across on-prem and cloud environments.

The role requires 12–14+ years in IBM Data Integration, hands-on DataStage mastery, and a track record of DW/Lake implementations. Excellent collaboration and leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 12–14+ years of deep IBM Data Integration expertise with DataStage, QualityStage, IGC, Db2.
• Lead/Principal Architect on 2–3 large-scale DW/ETL projects.
• Expertise with Parallel Job mechanics and custom routines in DataStage.

Responsibilities

Job description

• IBM Tech Stack Mastery: 12–14+ years of deep expertise across the complete IBM Data Integration suite, including IBM DataStage (v11.x / Cloud Pak for Data), QualityStage, Information Analyzer, Information Governance Catalog (IGC), and IBM Db2.
• Architecture Proven Track Record: Proven experience acting as a Lead or Principal Architect on at least 2–3 large-scale, full-lifecycle enterprise data warehouse or data lake implementations.
• Advanced DataStage Engineering: Expert-level knowledge of Parallel Job mechanics (combining, sorting, partitioning, collection methods) and custom routine development (Parallel routines/BuildOps).
• Data Ecosystem & Platforms: Strong expertise interfacing DataStage with diverse environments such as Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, Hadoop/Hive, and modern Cloud Data Warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse).
• Scripting & OS: High proficiency in Unix/Linux shell scripting, grid scheduling tools (Control-M, Tivoli, or Autosys), and SQL/PL-SQL optimization.
