Mission.dev is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to own and optimize data infrastructure across Oracle, PostgreSQL and MySQL environments in a high-concurrency setting. This role emphasizes security, performance, and reliability for regional digital products and data services.

You will implement high availability architectures, manage backups and disaster recovery, and drive automation within a high-performance environment used by both public and private sectors.

About the Role

As a Senior Database Administrator, you will take ownership of the data infrastructure supporting high-impact digital products. This role involves managing complex, high-concurrency environments where data security and performance are paramount. You will oversee the reliability and scalability of multiple database systems, ensuring continuous availability for critical public and private sector services. Your work directly impacts the stability of a regional digital ecosystem by optimizing data flows, implementing robust disaster recovery strategies, and driving infrastructure automation within a high-performance technical environment.

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement high-availability architectures for relational database systems to ensure maximum uptime.
• Manage database backup, restoration, and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard critical data assets.

• Optimize database performance through proactive monitoring, query tuning, and configuration adjustments.
• Establish and enforce database security protocols to protect sensitive organizational data.

What You Bring

• Extensive experience managing Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL database environments.
• Proven expertise in PostgreSQL high availability using Patroni, etcd/Consul, HAProxy, and PgBouncer.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL backup and recovery utilizing pgBackRest.
• Practical experience with MySQL high availability solutions, specifically Percona XtraDB Cluster.
• Strong background in database replication, disaster recovery, and technical migrations.
• Deep knowledge of database performance tuning, security standards, and monitoring tools.

Work Schedule

• This position follows the standard Saudi work week, from Sunday through Thursday, and requires full-time overlap with Saudi business hours
