Job summary

SiFi is building a next-generation CFO platform to simplify finance and empower accounting teams with controlled corporate spending. We seek a Senior Data Engineer to design and scale our data platform, define data models, and own AI-ready infrastructure.

You will partner with Finance, Product, Engineering, and Compliance to ensure metrics are accurate, scalable, and trusted. This high-ownership role focuses on building financial data infrastructure from first principles, leveraging BigQuery,

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data or analytics engineering.
• Strong SQL expertise with data modeling experience.
• Experience with BigQuery or similar cloud warehouses.
• Experience with dbt or SQLMesh.
• Experience with AI/ML pipelines is a plus.
• Ability to operate independently in a fast-moving startup.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain scalable data models in SQL.
• Establish structured warehouse layers and modeling best practices.
• Own KPI definitions and ensure a single source of truth.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and observability.
• Design and evolve cloud data warehouse in BigQuery.
• Own transformation workflows with dbt, SQLMesh, or similar tools.
• Design and support production-grade AI/ML pipelines.
• Translate business requirements into robust data systems.
• Enable trusted reporting and BI across teams.
• Support AI-driven experimentation with well-structured datasets.
