Job summary

WSP is seeking an senior Data Centre Engineering Leader to steward end-to-end design across electrical and mechanical systems for large-scale facilities in the UAE and KSA. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure design integrity while aligning with business goals.

You will drive standardization of scalable data centre solutions, mentor staff, and participate in external partnerships to elevate technical excellence and efficiency across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering.
• 10+ years designing and delivering large-scale data centres including Tier III/IV projects.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate stakeholders in complex environments.
• Certifications such as Uptime Tier, PMP, LEED AP, or BICSI RCDD are highly desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of MV/LV power distribution, UPS, generators, CRAC units, and BMS/DCIM.

Responsibilities

• Serve as single point of contact for technical aspects of assigned data centre projects.
• Lead and approve concept, schematic, and detailed designs across electrical and mechanical disciplines.
• Develop scalable data centre solutions for UAE and KSA to drive consistency and efficiency.
• Conduct site assessments, capacity planning, and feasibility studies per Tier requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Uptime Institute, NFPA, ASHRAE, and local regulations.
• Mentor engineering teams and drive knowledge transfer for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate to control costs, manage vendors, and mitigate technical risks.
• Contribute to technical proposals and client presentations to drive business growth.
• Lead cross-regional collaboration to ensure design excellence and standardization.
• Oversee end-to-end engineering lifecycle from feasibility to construction documentation.
