Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Finance is hiring a highly analytical finance professional to directly influence the future of cloud computing products. You will partner with regional AWS leadership to provide financial recommendations, model and forecast metrics, and support budgeting and strategic decisions.

The role requires strong analytics, execution excellence, and the ability to drive improvements across the finance function in a fast-growing, global AWS business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, information systems, finance, or equivalent.
• Experience applying KPIs to analyses.
• Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis.
• Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis.
• Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes.
• Experience in commercial finance business partnering or FP&A, or equivalent finance roles.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key business partner with regional AWS management to provide financial recommendations.
• Report weekly and monthly financial and operating metrics.
• Manage the financial planning process: model, analyze and forecast metrics for budgeting and decision making.
• Be integral in the monthly financial close process and perform ad-hoc projects and analyses.
• Analyze business results for key takeaways to achieve business objectives.
• Monitor compliance with controls and systems; develop new processes for a fast-growing AWS business.
• Prepare detailed financial models for business segments, drive initiatives and deliver operational efficiencies.
