Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Lead Product Service Engineer for control systems to uphold product integrity by proactively addressing customer issues, conducting technical assessments, and coordinating across field, design, and product service teams. You will travel to customer sites to support reviews and outages, delivering technical recommendations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
5–10 years' experience in operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of heavy-duty, aero-derivative and compressor control systems.
Knowledge of MarkVI, MarkVIe, MarkVIeS and compressor control systems; knowledge of VFDs and motor protections.
Willingness to travel 20–25% and be available for weekend emergency support.

Responsibilities

Respond to internal and external requests for technical issue resolution, interfacing with field, design and product service teams.
Establish and maintain relationships with customers to address technical needs.
Lead root cause analysis and investigations for product issues; provide technical leadership to project teams.
Prepare technical presentations for leaders and customers; communicate significant issues and developments.
Travel to customer locations to support reviews, outages and sales proposals; provide technical oversight during outages.
