Job summary

A leading construction firm in Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to manage and administer contracts throughout the project lifecycle. Ideal candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and 8–10 years of relevant experience in contract administration, preferably in construction. Knowledge of FIDIC and strong analytical skills are required. Overview
  • nManage and administer contracts and subcontracts throughout the entire project lifecycle, from procurement and award to closeout.
  • nCoordinate contract review, administration, and compliance activities for industrial, commercial, and government contracts of limited to moderate complexity.
Responsibilities
  • nReview proposed terms and conditions during the solicitation and award stages; identify non-standard clauses and recommend appropriate amendments.
  • nEnsure full contractual, legal, and regulatory compliance, including conducting compliance reviews and monitoring corrective actions.
  • nAdminister contract changes, including variations, claims, and extensions of time, in coordination with project teams.
  • nMonitor contractor and subcontractor performance and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • nCoordinate with project managers, clients, consultants, and government representatives to resolve contractual issues and disputes.
  • nPrepare and maintain accurate contract records, correspondence, and documentation.
  • nPrepare contract-related reports, including contract spend, status, and progress reports.
  • nSupport contract closeout activities, including final reviews and required documentation.
  • nProvide guidance and support to junior contract administrators and assist higher-level contract management as required.
  • Perform duties in accordance with standardized procedures, under appropriate supervision, ensuring accuracy and adherence to instructions.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in contract administration, preferably within a consultancy or construction environment.
  • Proven experience administering construction contracts, including FIDIC and other standard forms.
  • Strong understanding of contract management principles, contract law, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in contract negotiation and handling complex contractual matters.
  • Familiarity with international business practices and procurement processes.
  • Proficient in contract management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-developed organizational and time-management abilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
