Job summary

Asaan | آسان is seeking a Conservation Senior Manager (Objects and Textiles) to oversee day-to-day conservation services for the organization’s collections. You will report to the Collections Care Director and ensure the collections are preserved, securely stored, and available for researchers, donors, and the public.

Responsibilities include managing the conservation program, developing policies, supporting fundraising, and coordinating with education and outreach teams to create engaging

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in museology, art history, archaeology, library science, or science
• Master's degree is preferred
• Professional accreditation is required or preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day delivery of conservation services for the collections
• Manage the conservation work program and staff
• Develop and implement collections care policies and procedures
• Oversee conservation and preservation tasks across the collections
• Support strategic planning and alignment with institutional goals
• Foster public engagement and exhibitions in collaboration with teams
• Pursue funding opportunities and prepare grant proposals
• Ensure budgeting and financial accountability for conservation activities
• Oversee disaster readiness and risk assessment for collections
• Coordinate with education, outreach, and research teams
